イメージは Linux の bonding と同じ。

Windows システムにある 2 つ以上のネットワークインターフェースを
組 (チーム) にして 1 つの論理的なネットワークインターフェースを構成する。

こうすることで、物理インターフェースへの負荷を分散したり、
1 つの物理インターフェースが故障しても他の物理インターフェースが代替する
などの機能が利用できる。

BACS とは、Broadcom Advanced Control Suite の略。

つまり、Broadcom が提供している機能。

今回は、以下のシステムで実施しました。

システム : IBM x3250 OS : Windows 2003 ネットワークインターフェース : Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet #1 Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet #2

BACS をインストールするために、
BROADCOM のホームページから BASP_BACS_Mgnt_apps_ia32-11.06.01.zip を
ダウンロードしました。

BROADCOM

解凍して Server\MgmtApps\IA32\setup.exe を実行。

デフォルトのまま [ 次へ ] でインストールを進める。

その際、カスタムセットアップで Control Suite と BASP が選択されていることを確認する。

インストールの途中で、次のようなメッセージがポップアップされるので、
[ OK ] をクリックして閉じる。

Broadcom Management Program .NET Framework 2.0 is required for Broadcom Advanced Control Suite 3 (BACS) to run.

インストールが完了すると、
[ スタート ] --> [ すべてのプログラム ] --> [ Broadcom ] に
[ Broadcom Advanced Control Suite 3 ] ができる。

早速、起動すると次のようなエラーがポップアップされる。

BACS.exe -.NET Framework Initialization Error To run this application, you first must install one of the following versions of the .NET Framework: v2.0.50727 Contact your applications publisher for instructions about obtaining the appropriate version of the .NET Framework.

.NET Framework が足りないようだ。

.NET Framework Developer Center から .NET Framework 2.0 をダウンロードする。

ダウンロードした dotnetfx.exe を実行してインストールする。

.NET Framework 2.0 のインストール後、再度 Broadcom Advanced Control Suite 3 を起動する。

システムに存在する NIC が表示される。

これで BACS が使用可能な状態になったので、
次に実際にネットワークインターフェースの冗長構成 (Teaming) を組んでみる。

[ TeamManagement ] をクリック [ Unassigned Adapters ] の中で冗長構成 (Teaming) を組みたいアダプタを右クリック --> [ Create a Team ]

Creating/Modifying a Team: Team Name You must assign your team a unique name. Enter the name for the team: [ 任意に入力 ] [ Next ] をクリック

Creating/Modifying a Team: Team Type Select the type of team you want to create. Team type ● Smart Load Balancing (TM) and Failover (SLB) ○ 802.3ad Link Aggregation using Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP) ○ FEC/GEC Generic Trunking [ Next ] をクリック

Creating/Modifying a Team: Assigning Team Members Specify which adapters to include in the team. Include adapters that you wish to set for the standby role. Available Adapters から選択して [ Add ] をクリック [0001] Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet is configured to access the remote management features of this system. Including this chapter in a team will dirupt the system management features. For more information on the operation of this feature, please refer to the User's Guide. Do you want to continue ? 1. インターフェースを Act - Standby 構成にする場合

Creating/Modifying a Team: Dessingnating a Standby Member Do you want to dessignate an available adapter as a standby member ? Optionally select if you want a standby member for the team. ○ Do not configure a standby member. ● Use the following member as a standby member: [ standby にしたいアダプタをプルダウンから任意に選択 ] □ Enable Auto-Fallback Disable made [ Next ] をクリック

2. インターフェースを Act - Act の負荷分散構成にする場合

Creating/Modifying a Team: Configuring VLAN Support Specify whether you want to create or delete a VLAN. Manage VLAN ○ Add VLAN ○ Edit VLAN ● Skip manage VLAN [ Next ] をクリック

これで、Act - Standby あるいは Act - Act の冗長構成 (Teaming) が組めました。

[ コントロールパネル ] --> [ ネットワーク接続 ] で確認すると、
上で作った Virtual Adapter が作成されている。

上で作成したチームに IP アドレスを設定する際は、
Virtual Adapter のプロパティで設定する。

ちなみに物理アダプタに対しては IP アドレスを設定できなくなっている。

BACS によるインターフェース冗長化 (Teaming) の動作詳細


構成した冗長構成 (Teaming) を止めたいときは次の通り。

冗長構成 (Teaming) を止めたいを右クリック --> [ Delete Team ]
